Vietnam

One of my big ticks on our trip, Vietnam is a country bursting with culture, nature, history and, excitingly, food. Vietnam is such a huge country, that it’s often thought of as two separate states, with Ho Chi Minh City as the capital of the south and Hanoi the capital of the north. The north and south are divided by food, weather, accent, politics…. We’re travelling from bottom to top, starting in one capital and finishing in another. As a word nerd, I hope to learn some of the language here, although it’s famously difficult, and get some food knowledge too. There’s a sort of wildness here, where people do what they want with their time, their lives. I instantly liked Vietnam and have loved our time here.
